I thought of the Scriptures, where it says in Psalms 84:11 “… no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly”; and in Romans 8:32 “…how shall He not with Him (the Messiah) also freely give us all things?”; and in James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” I began to weep! Not because of all the material things I’ve been able to enjoy throughout my life, nor for the freedoms I’ve enjoyed living in America, or even for “the best things in life are free” that GOD has given to me to enjoy… BUT because I saw His greatest gift, out of His great love, He did not withhold from His creation. He so loved, He gave—His best. He so loved, He gave—all He had. He so loved, He gave—His precious and only begotten Son. What manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us! That while we were yet sinners, the Messiah died for the ungodly. He so loved, HE GAVE—that we could have life and life more abundantly. Hallalujah to our GOD!
But let us not be carnal and self-deceived, in our fleshly selfishness and greed, for we know by the very life and teaching of our Messiah that life does not consist in the abundance of things (Luke 12:15). But IN HIM is life, and His life is the light of men. What a joyous thought! What a glorious gift! Knowing that if the Spirit of Him that raised Yahshua from the dead dwells in us, He that raised up the Messiah from the dead shall also quicken our mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in us!!! Oh, how my heart sings unto YAHWEH my GOD! The hymn “How Great Thou Art” rings in me so loud and clear!
Blessings to you all…
*A JOYFUL THOUGHT: I will love the LORD my GOD with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind. J
